BURNS NIGHT IN THE LIBRARY

A BURNS NIGHT is being held in Upper Norwood joint library on Saturday (26th). The haggis will be ‘piped in’ as Robert Burns’ famous poem To a Haggis (1786) is read out from 7.30pm. After this there will be an opportunity for adults to recite/read/perform poetry with a Scottish link they have written or their favourite poem.

And at some point in the evening – being organised by the Friends of Upper Norwood Joint Library – you will be able to sample some Scottish food and try to win a bottle of whisky. 

For adults and children aged 12 – 17 years Cost: £5 per adult, £3 per child (12-17) Please book and pay for your tickets in advance as places are limited. Doors open at 7pm.
